What a swing signal includes

Entry zone
A price zone rather than a single price, usually with a window of a day or more, so you do not need to react in seconds.
Hold duration
An expected holding period of days to a few weeks, with target-based exits.
Profit targets
Several targets so you can scale out, for example part at the first, part at the second and the remainder trailed.
Stop-loss
A stop placed below a key technical level and sized for multi-day volatility.
Analysis
The chart pattern plus any catalyst such as earnings, news or an analyst upgrade.

Swing signals by asset class

Stocks

Individual stocks held for days to a few weeks to capture an intermediate trend.

People with a full-time job and smaller accounts.

Options

Calls and puts with several weeks to expiry, held for days to weeks. More leverage than stocks and less time decay than lottos.
Best for
People comfortable with options risk.

Crypto

Bitcoin, Ethereum and larger altcoins held for days to weeks. Markets run around the clock, so weekend moves matter.
Best for
People who accept high volatility.

Futures

Index, commodity and currency futures held for several days, with built-in leverage.
Best for
Experienced traders with futures approval who understand margin.

How swing alerts work

  1. Scan

Analysts scan for patterns such as flags and breakouts and review catalysts and earnings dates.

  2. Alert

A push notification arrives with a wide entry window, so you can act when it suits your schedule.

  3. Execute

Place the trade at your own broker with a limit order, a stop-loss and your profit targets.

  4. Exit

Follow the staged exits as targets are hit, or the stop if the setup fails.

Holding overnight adds risk

Swing trades are exposed to overnight and weekend gaps, which can move price past your stop-loss. Options and futures add leverage and crypto is highly volatile. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Only trade with money you can afford to lose. Nothing here is financial advice.

Swing trading signals questions

How much time per day do I need?

Swing trading is designed for a short daily check rather than watching the screen. Alerts give you entry windows of hours or days.

Can I swing trade with a full-time job?

That is who it is designed for. You can place orders before work, at lunch or in the evening.

Do swing trades trigger the pattern day trader rule?

The rule applies to trades opened and closed on the same day, so positions held overnight are not day trades. Confirm the rules with your broker.

What is the difference from day trading?

Day trades are opened and closed within the day and need constant attention. Swing trades are held for days to weeks and need only periodic checks.

What about earnings and weekends?

Earnings and weekend gaps are real risks. Check the earnings date before entering, and consider smaller size or closing before known events.

What if I cannot act right away?

Swing alerts use wider entry windows. If price has moved well beyond the zone, skip the trade rather than chase.

Are swing signals suitable for beginners?

They are less time-pressured than day trading, but you still need to know how to place orders and stops. Start small.

Can I use swing signals in a retirement account?

Swing trading avoids day-trading restrictions, but what you can trade depends on your custodian, so check first.
